Easter Getaways
There’s nothing like a long weekend to get you wishing you’d figured out your getaway plans ahead of time, if only to escape the scavenger scrimmage of the Easter egg hunt. If you fancy getting out of the city for a short break, or even need an excuse to leave life behind for a little longer, check out UJ’s top travel options.

Santa Agnes, Ibiza
The party island’s not just for Summer you know. For a little warmer weather and a Mediterranean getaway, head to Es Cucons Hotel in the beautiful almond tree filled valley of Santa Agnes. Their Easter Special includes a 4 night stay in one of their beautiful rooms with complimentary breakfast, outdoor countryside brunch with a BBQ and ‘Easter desserts’ (if these aren’t chocolate eggs we’ll eat our foil wrappings), and an excursion along the coast – or a yoga/pilates class or spa treatment. Sure it’s not the club-banging, shot necking Ibiza of Summer, but doesn’t a little coastal calming sound right just about now?
Info
Easter Package: 832 EUR per person, based on two people sharing.

Madeira, Portugal
Bag a few extra days off work and turn the long weekend into a week-long break at The Vine in Portugal. The Easter promotion is offering 7 nights for the price of 5, but hurry – you need to arrive on the 29th March to qualify. Once you’re there make the most of the in-room check in and welcome massage, plus you’ll get daily breakfast, and an Easter lunch. Head up to the Rooftop Pool Bar and check out the amazing view of Madeira’s capital Funchal from the heated water, or indulge in a Vinotherapy treatment at the spa.

Acapulco, Mexico
Call in your holiday time early and head to Mexico’s West Coast answer to Cancun for a Spring Break you’ll never forget at Boca Chica. This newly renovated property (within spitting distance of an idyllic beach cove) only opened a week ago, and comes with 24 hour sushi room service, pool terrace, in-house disco and rooms with outdoor living spaces and private gardens. Spend some time in Caleta’s vibrant neighbourhood, get the snorkel out and stroll through the marina, or just lie back in your hammock and think of England – or not.
Info
USD 125-174 per night.
