The Molecular Trinity

The Molecular Trinity

Get lost in the Shoreditch's own Bermuda bar triangle

For the last few years, Shoreditch has played home to a couple of our favourite specialist watering holes, hidden from the prying eyes of 3am gutter splatterers and renowned for inventive, top-notch cocktails. Long have we sung you praises about Paul Tvaroh’s diminutive font of cocktail candy floss that is Lounge Bohemia and Marian Beke’s smoke-gunned-classics at the underground Nightjar… But all the best conspiracy theories and secret societies come in threes. And now the Shoreditch molecular triumvirate is complete.

Even with its mildly sycophantic media-speak (“The next big thing to hit London’s drinking scene, will be the last great thing in London’s drinking history”), we’re still genuinely excited about The Whistling Shop. Firstly because it promises all the bells and whistles of its subterranean sister bar, Purl, without needing to find oneself in Marylebone. Secondly because it confirms the ‘hood as the molecular destination in London. And thirdly because now we can stroll/stagger (delete as appropriate) in an infinite triangle of neighbouring semi-scientific cocktail joy.

Once you’re in the New Shoreditch Triangle, there is no escape.
