UJ’s 2017 Jams

Music

This event has ended.

Stuck for what to listen to in 2017? Don’t worry, UJ has got you covered. Here’s our top 5 tracks so far from this year – the ones we’ve had on repeat at UJHQ. You can listen to them all in our 2017 Spotify playlist below; subscribe to stay updated as we’ll be updating it weekly. Headphones in!

The xx – Dangerous
They’re back! They’re back! After a few listens to the new album, UJ is loving he xx’s recent single Dangerous, an upbeat, brass-filled banger of a track. Forget everything you thought you knew about The xx – this isn’t the spare, vulnerable stuff we’re used to.

Sampha – (No One Knows Me) Like the Piano
Sampha’s incredibly beautiful voice combined with a solo piano in a catchy ballad; what’s not to love about this? We really don’t know what else to say here.

Shy Girls – Say You Will
Shy Girls are seriously on UJ’s radar right now. Say You Will is the latest track from bedroom-based producer Dan Vidmar: catchy, smooth, R&B-tinged pop with great production.

Baba Stiltz – Baby
Precocious Swedish producer Baba Stiltz is set to release an EP very soon on Studio Barnhaus, but for now we give you Baby – an electronic track which is sure to soothe your stresses with its relaxed yet up-tempo beats.

Georgia – Feel It
We’ve been loving UK-based electronic artist Georgia since her self-titled debut back in 2015, and now she’s back with her energetic, percussive pop track Feel It. Get it on the speaker and it turn it up loud, this isn’t one for headphones.
