Check It Out: Nymphenburg Couture Collectibles
We’re all for a bit of class here at UJ, and nothing says upper class drawing room like heritage porcelain figurines, in a don’t-touch-or-Grandma-might-hit-the-roof kind of way. However, Nymphenburg have added a twist to their classic ‘commedia dell’arte’ collection, originally designed in 1760, by asking some of today’s top fashion designers to re-dress them. With Vivienne Westwood, Gareth Pugh, and Christian Lacroix on board, they’re a bit of an investment at £9,950 a pop, but will look so fetching next to the porcelain Shepherdess.
