As with every Nobu, the hotel restaurant was always going to be a standout, so you’ll be pleased to know the black cod with miso is here, alongside the blush pink kinmedai nigiri. And for the first time in London, Nobu’s Shoreditch hotel is also now offering brunch. Matcha waffles with chicken and smoked maple ponzu bring a taste of East London into Nobuyuki Matsuhisa’s famed Nikkei cuisine, which covers signature sushi and sashimi (yellowtail jalapeño and tenderloin tatami), a mix of sharing plates (baby corn tempura with yuzu kosho honey aioli), hand-carved roasted pork belly with house pickles, and all that’s before the desserts begin (surprisingly, the green tea-rolled roulade won’t eat itself). And the best part? It’s on until 3pm, so no rushing to make it in time.
