Meaning 'Daddy' in Italian, this new addition to Mayfair's dining scene manages to bring the family feeling of a homestyle kitchen together with the kind of upmarket surrounds locals have come to expect. Cosy, initimate and a guaranteed first date favourite, the atmosphere owes as much to the gentle decor (exposed brick wall, glistening chandeliers and cream leather banquettes) as it does to the attentions of a first-rate manager. UJ loved the authenticity of the dishes, with mozerella flown in in great big, melting masses from one specific Italian village, amazing truffle pastas, and the melt-in-the-mouth cuts of 'Chianina' beef - the Italian alternative to Wagyu if ever we saw one. Check out the black and white framed portraits adorning the walls - all father&son duos - rumour has it regular customers can earn their place in the Daddy hall of fame, too.
