As Co-Founder and Creative Director of FOUR IV Design Consultants, Chris has spent the past 17 years creating some of the city's most interesting and forward thinking spaces.

What’s your best kept London secret?

The crypt at at St. Martin's Lane Chapel is a great event destination. And Vertigo at the top of the Natwest Tower has the most incredible views!

Where do you go to escape a) within the city, and b) outside of the city?

a) Regent's Park, b) Brighton.

Favourite restaurants/eats?

Local favourites would be Portal on St John's Street in EC1 and The Medcalf on Exmouth Market. But for a favourite destination, it must be The Wolesley.

Favourite shops?

Borough Market is a foodies paradise, also Kilgour on Saville Row, and Mint on Wigmore Street.

Autumn is the best – when sunny and crisp.

Complete the sentences:

I can’t make it through the day without… Coffee, my iPhone and space to think.
If London had a soundtrack it would play…
Pull Up The Bumper by Grace Jones.
Londoner who most deserves to be on a stamp is…
Either Paul Weller, Lionel Bart or hopefully Boris Johnson if he gets it right.

What are your guilty pleasures?

A park porker at the café in the centre of Regents Park when I'm walking the dogs. Drinks and canapés at any of the many great hotel bars in London. KFC!

What’s your top London tip?
You’ll never know if you don’t try it.”

If you could burn down any building in London, what would it be and why?

The Tower of Guomen Hotel, next to Tower Bridge. It’s just plain ugly and yet is in such an iconic position.

If you’re in need of a little luxury/pampering, where do you go?

To my hairdresser (4th Floor, 4 Northington Street, WC1N 2JG), the Cowshed Spas, or Clarenden Cross (great for both boys or girls).

Where do you go for a culture fix?

Tate Modern, NPG, Selfridges Bookshop and venues like the Roundhouse

A London service that makes your life better/easier?

Deliverance and black cabs.

What’s your top London tip?

You’ll never know if you don’t try it.

Anything else we need to know?
