Felder Felder
The dress still rules as one of the key pieces for the contemporary woman's wardrobe. The effortless dresses at Felder Felder demonstrated just how effective a simple shift in layered chiffon can be, or even the tunic and skirt masquerading as a dress.
The cascades of ruffles carefully splayed across the fronts of dresses or forming the sleeves of a shrug on jacket were well controlled and as light as a souffle. Carefully avoiding the dolly look or cluttering the line. Leather as a complement to chiffon was worked into yokes, straps and details with a matching lightness. The colour palette was almost wistful in its lightness and ethereal airiness - whisper shades which matched the lightness of touch within the construction of the pieces.Added to this was shimmer, in metallic knit fabrics, and in shimmering metallic snakeskin, however this was shimmer like light reflecting off water not glitz.
The new way forward seems to be women designing collections for women and this collection certainly showed how a delicate handwriting doesn't have to be weak; the collection was strong and focussed; it was just that there was a feminie tranquility to it which definately reflected what used to be known as a womans touch .and in this case it can only be a compliment.
