ON|OFF PRESENTS: Rozalb de Mura
In a season of menswear where there has been some talk of a new femininity in masculine dress and design Rozalb de Mura very successfully channelled this mood through a collection statement of superb construction and sensational ideas.
At first glance some of the catwalk looks were extreme but on examination could be much more wearable if teamed with simple t shirts or jeans. The wonderful balloon sleeved shirt in ice blue, the Hungarian style decoration on the trousers and the pterodactyl type embellishment on the jacket could all work well as statement pieces for a confident customer. This was an innovative, strong and intelligent view of menswear for the 21st century. The choice of calico and cotton based fabrics linking the couture atelier toile and the tailored aspect of menswear in total harmony.
