Magical is the first word which springs to mind to describe this collection. Perfectly judged in content, styling and number of outfits the presentation was expertly judged from the first mixed print outfit onwards.
Alongside the prints with an afro - ethnic look to them were the wonderful positive/negative black and white spot pieces which included a divine swing coat with a true couture swagger to it, a stylised basket print and multi coloured spots like sweets on a black background. Stand out pieces in a stand out collection included divine tiny gilets with ruffles details which came in brocade, and print mix or velvet woven ribbons with an almost Elizabeth 1st look to them.
A jumpsuit in print with brocade applique reminded this observer of the great print master Ken Scott in both its expert handling of a lot of pattern and its perfectly judged proportions. The ruffle details which often appeared on sleeves, in seams and outlining darts were never overplayed and also varied in size to suit their placing on the garment. The applause which greeted the designer at the end told its own story - a complete success.
