Pop Ups

What better excuse to launch a load of fabulously temporary treats than LFW? With pop up stores, flash exhibitions and new collaborations all on the go, it's the best time to pop out and discover something new.

Azarro
Azzaro Pop Up Store
Feb 18th saw the launch of Azzaro’s first foray into retail in the UK with the unveiling of a pop up store on Mayfair’s Mount St. The store will run for one month with a launch party on Tues 24th Feb during LFW, with creative director Vanessa Seward and guest designer for ss09 Jemima Khan in situ.

Beyond The Valley Broken Hearts
Beyond the Valley/Broken Hearts
Due to their varied aesthetic influences and unique style, the Broken Hearts have been asked to collaborate with London boutique Beyond the Valley to design a limited edition capsule collection as part of their Autumn/Winter 09-10 range. The collection is inspired by costumes from the golden age of the circus, as well as drawing on influences from Weimar artiste Anita Berber to Ziegfeld star Ruby Keeler.

Available at Beyond the Valley's Newburgh Street Store this Fall.
Metropolitan Browns Shoes @ The Met
Metropolitan and Met Bar fashion week guests have been treated to a fabulous installation courtesy of Browns new shoe boutique, featuring a collective of their SS09 designers and new names to watch. Pop down before Wednesday 25th February to see the shoe candy in the Metropolitan's Lobby Display. Rumour has it that guests are also receiving exclusive VIP invitations for an appointment at the shoe
boutique with Champagne and goody bags.

French Connection
French Connection Photo Booth
To celebrate LFW those lovely folk at French Connection have decided to help us all in our quest to become famous – by installing a complimentary Photo-Me photobooth in their Oxford Street Store. Inspired by their S/S 09 campaign, shot by legendary Terry Richardson, the booth has a backdrop of arty black & white images to give you some inspiration. Bunny ears and group shots? You know what they say about those 15 minutes… use them wisely!

Hussein Chalayan
Hussein Chalayan Pop Up Exhibition
From the Hussein Chalayan exhibition at the Design Museum, St Martins Lane Hotel is hosting a short film by the designer to be screened in The Front Room. Taken from his catwalk show ‘One Hundred and Eleven’, the film explores how fashion has been shaped by the events of the last 111 years, including wars, revolutions, political and social changes. These changes are reflected in Hussein’s designs, showing periods in strict historical order, culminating in mechanical, moving dresses which morph from one era to another.
11am – 6pm, running time 16 minutes.

45 St Martin’s Lane, WC2N 4HX

Kabiri Flora Loves
Kabiri Jewellery
This month as part of London Fashion Week, Kabiri will present an installation with House of Flora at the new flagship store in Covent Garden entitled ‘Flora’s World.’ Featuring key pieces from House of Flora’s millinery collections, including berets hand-moulded from plastic and her unique wide-brimmed straw hats, the exhibit will be up against a backdrop of an exclusive film giving an insider sneak peek into the art of hat-making.
