You’re almost always guaranteed to meet like-minded people and friends-of-friends, the sharing of alcohol is usually generous, and nobody’s going to kick you out at 3 in the morning. But why do it alone when a whole host of services are vying to get through your front door?

It’s a little known fact that a certain someone here at UJ was once a card-carrying cheerleader back in the US of A. Hard to imagine, yes. But it does go some way to explaining our love affair with all things Transatlantic. And perhaps why, therefore, we’re loving the gentle breeze of Americana that’s blowing in this season.
The New New Covent Garden
So Apple launched their new store in Covent Garden over the weekend – it’s certainly gorgeous: all original stone archways and lashings of modern steel to match the svelte iGadgets that we covet so. And maybe now the ‘improved’ Genius Bar will actually be able to fit us in when everything goes techno-t*ts-up..
