Alicai Harley celebrates the pioneering event

Roundhouse Rising is an epic nine-day-long festival at the iconic Camden Venue, showcasing a cutting-edge line up of artists. It’s the event to head to if you want to discover the next big thing. To celebrate the event, which takes place from 21st February-4th March, we asked Alicai Harley (who plays the BBC Music Introducing date) to put together a playlist for us. Scroll down to listen and find out what she had to say about each track!

Mvngo & Lashes – I Like To Think That
The delivery on this song is ever so smooth, real conscious chillout and vibe music.

Little Simz – Good For What
I love the way you always get a piece of Little Simz’s story in her music. This song makes you have to listen!

Lioness – Everyting Mad
This is a serious song, it’s got that old school Lioness vibe but with the new school sauce. Has you doing that rapid head bop.

Cleo Sol – Why Don’t You
I’ll be pouring a glass of wine and setting up a relaxing bubble bath for this one. This single has me feeling that real self love.

Dapz On The Map – Mini Valet
This is a proper vibe and you get a real feel of who ‘Dapz On The Map’ is.

Ailbhe Reddy – Distrust
This song takes you on a beautiful journey and the production is phenomenal.

Fred Fredas – Ain’t Fooling Me
I love how relatable this song is!

Junglepussy – State of the Union
I can’t put a label on this sound, it’s really different but in a great way, love it!

IAMNOBODI – An Idea (feat. Emmavie, Zacari & Josh J)
This song caught me straight away and just kept me hooked.

Alicai Harley – Gold
My first official single, real dancey authentic vibes. BIG TUNE (lol).

Alicai Harley – Cover For Me
Should have you feeling like ain’t nobody could cover for ya! Haha.

Little Simz – Wings
I can relate to a lot in this song. It’s really inspiring and it’s proper vibey as well. Nothing less than what’s expected from the talented Little Simz.

Tawiah – Move With Me
Real smooth on the ears and the build-up is just beautiful.

Jerome Thomas – The Stone
Instantly hearing the start of this song, I knew it was going to capture me and it continued to just get better and better.

VanJess ft. Masego – Touch The Floor
Has me dancing around the house feeling like I have no worries. YASS.
