Nightlife
School's Out
Ah, school nights. I couldn’t possibly have another. No really, I must head home: I’ve got a meeting at tomorrow morning and blah-blah-blah.
A Local Place For Local People
I have a dream, my brothers and sisters. A dream in which we have a place to drink and dance into the wee hours of the morning without recourse to hammered out-of-towners, shoddy cocktails or exorbitant membership fees.
Burns Night
Come party with us. RSVP to celebrate Burns Night with Monkey Shoulder Whisky and Urban Junkies at Paramount.
We are back from 12th Jan 2010
2009 – a year of celebrity demise (Michael Jackson, Patrick Swayze, Tiger Woods), celebrations (Selfridges, Barbie, Woodstock), vampire fanciers, tweets galore, swine flu fears, and the official year of astronomy and, less impressively, natural fibres. You¹ve joined us for the best and the worst dear readers, and as we wrap up for another year we leave you with a weekend of nudity, ice–swimming, Chinese acrobats, storytelling and of course, all of our heartiest thanks and wishes for a wonderful Christmas. We¹ll be back from the 12th January 2010 (the year of and, less impressively, biodiversity, dontcha know) and a whole new decade of fun. Happy holidays!
UJ Best New Bars of 2009
