Karneval 2009
So the wigs are firmly back in the bottom drawer, the fancy dress make-up in the bin, and the costumes dropped off at the nearest dry cleaners, as our newest UJ intern brings us the sights from this year's German Karneval. A non-stop six day affair of drink and dance, parades and fancy-dress balls, this is Fasching – a Technicolor celebration that sees off Winter throughout Southern Germany.
