More info

We’re Foxlow fans. Hawksmoor’s little sister is a firm favourite for brunch and cocktails, and their OG Clerkenwell location has nailed the neighbourhood dining vibe. Luckily for us, Foxlow Soho is located just around the corner from UJHQ – although it has a slightly buzzier, more diner-esque feel than Clerkenwell. You’d be forgiven for thinking, as a Hawksmoor sibling, that it’s all about the meat here, but our visit proved that assumption to be wrong. We kicked things off with five pepper Brixham squid and pancetta meatballs (both great), and rather than opting for the steak for main (which is, of course, an option, and a more affordable one than at Hawksmoor) we tried the lighter option of grilled sea bream with a side of tenderstem broccoli. And the drinks? This is a place to embrace the cocktail menu. Give us a few of those Tommy’s Margaritas on a spring evening and we’ll be happy.
