Ah-So

Image

If the thought of yet another modern British menu in stylish yet tasteful surroundings is beginning to leave you a bit cold try Ah-So for size.

Bringing the Teppanyaki idea over from Japan (via Norfolk where the original branch is, oddly), the vibe here can only be described as gourmet cabaret. Take your seats around one big bar, in the middle of which the chefs don't so much cook as perform. Watch with mouths agape as eggs, prawns and other ingredients are thrown in the air and knives, kept in tool belts slung around the chefs' hips, fly.

Go for one of the set menus, from vegetarian to lobster (there's sushi too but it's not so much fun), and we challenge you to be disappointed. If you're still not sure check out the website - it's Eighties-tastic.
