The Polo Bar

Maybe it was the Luella show but we also seem to have suddenly come over a bit horsey and, dare we say it, almost Sloaney. So what better place to lounge louchely than the Polo Bar at the newly refurbished Westbury hotel (they've spent £20 million on the place and pinched a good number of staff from Claridges).
We'll be setting our hair in the perfect flick, turning up our collars and sipping on a Mayfair Rose (raspberry vodka, rose liqueur, champagne, fresh raspberries and lychee), made by the marvellous Elias Yiallouris, before tucking into their classic Bond Street Salad (smoked chicken, avocado, blue cheese, tomato and Pommery dressing). We can almost hear the Duran Duran in the background..
And how recherche would it be to be, like, reaaally crazy and retire to one of the poshed-up rooms with a bottle of bubbly at the end of the afternoon. There's always tea in the lobby to be had and the swish Artisan restaurant, with its delicious new autumnal menu, for a slap-up dinner later. Super!
