The wind is blowing and the clocks have gone back. Christmas lights are being strung and St John’s Wort is on sale at Boots. The winter blues have started but the battle can be won. Here are three recipes to bring a little winter coziness to your kitchen.
Ditch the sunlamp and herbal remedies. This winter get yourself a little happiness the old-fashioned way: open some red wine, throw on a jumper and cook a delicious dinner for the people you love.
The real cure for seasonal affective disorder is to embrace the darker months. The markets are full of scarlet pomegranates, crimson persimmons and technicolour pumpkins and some of the world’s finest red wine is just a few mouse-clicks away.
