Daily Coverage

Doug Haywood – Music Manager

What would people be surprised to know about your role at On/Off?
The weeks of time, research and commitment that go into designing a bespoke soundtrack, it’s a common misconception that the music is a last minute thing done by a DJ, but that’s not the way.

What has been a highlight of your career?
Seeing Princess Michael of Kent nodding her head in appreciation of a heavy remix of Jefferson Airplane’s White Rabbit at an Allegra Hicks show and helping to create a spectacular pastiche Miss World beauty contest for Tata-Naka.

What inspires you when you work at On/Off?
The fact that as a team, the honest professionalism, expertise and dedication shines through from everyone involved. Integrity is paramount and always comes with a smile. It’s an honour and a pleasure to be involved with such genuine, creative people.

What are the biggest challenges of your job?
Dealing with up to ten different shows, designers, concepts, opinions and mindsets all at once isn’t easy.
