Monday to Sunday Booty Call
A R761 classic

You can call us contrary, you can call us opportunistic, but we're the ones with the awesome pineapple-shaped iceboxes.

Because when most people are thinking about that Spring clean, we're thinking about all that splendid junk in need of a good home. And while car boot sales used to be considered about as hip as a hairnet, today you're as likely to be shouldered out of the way by a Hoxton hairdresser as a pee-stained pensioner. With a sale on every day of the week, you'll dig out that vintage Roberts radio in no time...

Mondays (Bank Holidays only) from 7.30am: Hook Road Arena
Hook Road, Epsom, KT19 - 01372 724 568
The mothership of car boot sales, with a whopping 700 pitches with both new and secondhand gear.

Tuesdays from 6.30am to 1pm: Tuesday Indoor Market And Boot Sale
Thomas Wall Centre, 52 Benhill Av, Sutton, SM1 - 07869 187 257
Again a little further out, but you'll get better deals and friendlier folk at this local institution.

Wednesdays from 10.30am to 2pm: Wimbledon Stadium Car Boot Sale
Wimbledon Stadium, Plough Lane, SW17 - 01932 355 538
A smaller and less competitive version of the Saturday event at the same spot. Great for homeware and furniture.

Thursdays from 7am to 2pm: Tottenham Community Sports Centre
703 Tottenham High Road, N17 - 01992 468619
Mainly new gear, from kids clothes to bargain electronics, plus the occasional retro gem.

Fridays from 6am to 1pm: Wood Green Car Boot Sale
New River Sports Centre, White Hart Lane, N22 - 01992 468 619
A small (65-pitch) but bustling car boot attracting both bargain-hunting pros and young couples kitting out their retro pads.

Saturdays from 8am to 2pm: Holloway Car Boot Sale
Holloway Rd (opposite the Odeon), N7 - 01992 717198
A more entertaining gamble than the Grand National, it'll be nothing but fake watches one week and bargain furniture the next.

Sundays from 1.30pm to 5pm: Battersea Sunday Afternoon Boot Sale, Battersea Technical College, 401 Battersea Park Rd, SW11 - 07941 383 588
At last, a more civilised start. A reliably good array of secondhand gear and new stock attracts both laidback snoopers and house-clearance sharks.
