Top 5: For Wine Lovers

A bespoke wine suitcase anyone?

  • VinGardeValise

Wine lovers, forget pricey shipping and boring paperwork, now you can get your favourite wines transported via the VinGardeValise® suitcase. Bring 12 (75cl) bottles worth of those rare tipples and vintage labels home with you. The suitcase weighs in at 22kg (within baggage allowance), and, in the very unlikely event that you don’t want to bring back wines the VinGardeValise® has re-moveable foam, leaving more room for other holiday treats.

  • Noble Rot Restaurant and Wine Bar

Noble Rot Magazine has opened the doors of their new restaurant and wine bar on Lamb’s Conduit. Although a guaranteed excellent selection of wine by the bottle and glass, the food won’t take a back seat. They’ve enlisted chefs Stephen Harris and Paul Weaver from Michelin-starred The Sportsman in Whitstable to oversee a menu of fine Harris- style cooking. This means: oysters, terrines, roasts, braised fish , and even, the famed Sportsman slip soles have made the transfer.

  • B.I.B Wine

This November, B.I.B has taken over Brunswick East coffee in Dalston with a winter pop up that will warm your cockles. Serving natural bag in box wines from £3 a glass, this ecological bar trend is set to save you a pretty penny and tastes good too.

  • WineChap

For all things wine, from tastings and tours to events and home delivery, WineChap has got you covered; whether it’s Christmas present inspiration with UJ favourite, the Taste Lab Kit, or, if you need to swot up on your fizz this Christmas via WineChap’s guide to buying and tasting champagne. He even talks investing in your ‘liquid assets’ should you bare to part with your precious crates!

  • Vetro

New Enoteca and informal wine shop, Vetro, has just opened in Soho. Drink your way through a menu of over 30 wines by the glass, as well as an extensive by the bottle menu and take-outs. And, if you have a favourite from their 500-strong Dalla Terra selection in Covent Garden that hasn’t made the transfer, just ask and they’ll have it sent to Soho, just for you.
