Want Some Candy?
A night out these days seems to do one thing - confirm that I am indeed ageing. From the blank looks that ripple across the dance floor when a classic 80s track comes on, it's clear that we are dealing with an every an ever increasing born in the 90s crowd.
I should be babysitting these youngins, not dancing with them!

These are the MySpace kids, or the Einstein Generation as Jeroen Boschma calls them in his book - now finally available in Spanish. Apparently smarter, faster and more social, these media-savvy creatures are the fresh-faced babies you find at London’s I heart Niyi or Apolo’s Club Tropicana. All making me feel positively nerdy when I think back of myself at the same age.

Enlightening reading perhaps, but it may be time to just resign myself to this week’s other book launch. Two design books from Santa & Cole, it’s a safe-fire adult affair. With cocktails guaranteed, I can live with that.

Generación Einstein by Jeroen Boschma on sale from today for EUR 19.95
Diseño y nostalgia' and 'La Barcelona del diseño' presentation and cocktails. Thursday May 29, at 19:30h on the terrace of FAD. Pl. dels Angels 5-6, Raval

It's Good to be Green
Few soul singers, apart from the likes of James Brown and Sam Cooke, are quite as revered as The Right Reverend himself.
