The Pan Pacific Hotel

The perfect base from which to set your sails.

Like a lighthouse's beacon, the Pan Pacific's enormous white sails act as a touristic landmark guiding the lucky few who call this their temporary home back to bed. Uniquely situated on a pier with stunning views of Stanley Park and The Lion's Gate Bridge, you'll be treated to the daily sight of floatplanes landing on the harbor, whilst the night sky is lit up by the twinkling of skiing lights in the mountains. The property's location adjacent to the cruise terminal also means those looking to take a boat trip couldn't be closer to the sea. Its tourist-friendly setting is the main draw, as the scale of the building doesn't particularly lend itself to romance or a personable welcome, with conventions and meetings often taking place in the various conference spaces. That being said, what you can guarantee from a global brand such as the Pan, is a high standard of service and impeccable, if slightly dated rooms. Make sure to start the day with a caffeine kick from the lobby-located Starbucks (which opens at an early bird 5:30am) and wind down with a drink beside the piano in The Cascades Lounge.

Top Tip / UJ Loves: Grab a window seat in The Pacific Club and order the fresh Salmon Sashimi to enjoy over breathtaking waterfront views.
