Food & Drink Travel Life Music Calendar
…the season’s started! Last week saw the electronic world descend on Ibiza for the International Music Summit and seasonal club openings, and UJ was there to take it all in. If you don’t have plans to get over yet, there are a lot of new openings this year to check out; June is a great, not-too-crowded time to go, and with a 15% off offer from UJ fave OD Talamanca, the time is now to get booking.

See you on the dancefloor.
New for 2019!
Want to know what’s new on the White Isle this year? Check out our news section. Highlights include designer shop NOSS (for when that bag goes missing), Mustang Adventures (new to our guide) and not in the guide, but again, newish – the lounge in Ibiza airport. It might not be tacky-fun like the Cathy and David Guetta pre-flight spot, but there are power points, red wine, and a nice view.

OD Hotels Suites and Rooms
Rooms with views
Want to have a memorable weekend? Then choose one of OD Talamanca’s suites. The Duplex Suites have their own private rooftops with pools, the Junior Suites have a separate living room with sliding door for privacy, and the Lofts are essentially glass boxes in the sky, with views of the sea (#UJloves). The Deluxe Rooms with private terraces that have sun loungers are a great option too.

IMS Roundup
We came, we saw, we disco’d
This year, from our luxe basecamp at OD Talamanca, we did the usual three-day hustle. First up was the IMS Legends Dinner, honouring Javier Anadon at Casa Maca. It was, for us, the most memorable Legends Dinner to date – the production, the cuisine, the sold-out crowd, the magic in the air, and of course, the honouree, Javier Anadon; a great night was had by all. See the slideshow here. Other memorable moments included Ralph Moore’s 20 years of Cocoon talk with Sven (we feel old! Cocoon is 20!), and a heartfelt, candid talk on mental health, including words from Klas Bergling, aka Avicii’s father. We wish him all the best with the launch of The Tim Bergling Foundation. For more info on what went down over the week, see the schedule here.

Club Nights
Hop around
So, Cocoon is back to Amnesia (for 10 dates), Music On has transferred to Pacha, and we’re not sure where Rumors has gone. New for this year is Idris’ residency at Hï with Jack Back (aka David Guetta’s alter ego), and Nic Fanciulli’s Dance or Die party at Ushuaïa. If you’re wondering where to go on any night of the week, check out our Club Guide here, compiled by music maven Ralph Moore.

Farm to Table
All about the farm to fork
So, we’ve been hearing murmurs that Los Patios, an organic oasis with restaurants, bars and a private club will be opening, sometime… In the meantime, there have never been more feel-good places on the island to try. For a quick hit list, there’s Aubergine by the Atzaró fam, Wild Beets, the organic farm La Huerta (opened March 2019), and of course, La Granja. Reviews coming soon.

OD Hotels Events
Hotels with heartbeats
At OD Hotels, there is always something on. At OD Talamanca, from acoustic brunches and rooftop yoga to special events and great tunes by the pool, there’s a buzzy atmosphere here – but thankfully, this is not a party hotel. This is a chic hotel with light, relevant programming.

Five Flowers Hotel & Spa
The first five-star property in Formentera
Like we needed another excuse to head to Formentera, the island’s first five-star hotel has just opened. We’re excited for their restaurant, Kokoy, from Hideki Matsuhisa – the only Japanese chef with a Michelin star in Spain (Ferran Adrià calls his BCN restaurant one of the best in the country).

OD Hotels
Location, location, location
If there’s one thing OD Hotels does as a brand, it’s pick the best locations! OD Talamanca is two minutes from the beach/boardwalk, a short walk to faves like The Fish Shack and Nobu, and a five minute drive into town. They always consider important details, too, when choosing a location; the Talamanca property for example comes with a large parking lot – which is very hard to come by in Ibiza! – meaning you can spend more time on the beach, less time driving around trying to find a spot.
