Instant Gratification
So much fun in no time

Despite good intentions, we rarely make it to the latest gallery shows. The Tate Modern goes unvisited for months. Expired Art Fund memberships glare at us from our wallets. The shame. The humiliation.

At least you made it to the Portrait Café for a cheeky drink, so you're not technically lying when you tell your friends you've been to the National Portrait Gallery...

For a quick injection of contemporary art without the hassle of public transit, transatlantic flights or rough neighbourhoods, there's always the Internet.

Yes, we know this isn't news, and are already familiar with britart.com and the new Saatchi/ Guardian 'Your Gallery', but have you checked out pHytonics?

Offering up the latest and greatest contemporary art, pHytonics pluck their favourite artists out of the melting pot of modern creative types and post their work for all the world to see and purchase. (Which in our opinion is better than scooping grad collections and keeping 'em cooped up in a warehouse collecting dust.)

And the best part is - as new work's posted every Friday, the site's loaded just in time for the weekend, meaning you may actually make that weekend gallery tour.

From the sofa that is.

pHytonics. It is possible to submit work for consideration to be shown on pHytonics. More details can be found here.
