Puppy Love

Our love for dogs at UJ is no news, but so far, we've been all talk no action.

Sure, we annually cry at Battersea, and attend the child-infested Discover Dogs show, but we still haven't quite been able to take the ownership leap.

Yes we love dogs, but enough to take the bus and give up reckless spending? (Walker+vet+food+training+ masseuse + swimming lessons= a lot.) And can we even make it home for dinner/ cut down on travel? (The Paw Seasons is pricey you know.) Not sure.

Which is why, we're seriously ecstatic about Flexpetz. For a monthly membership fee, you can 'rent a dog' so to speak for hours or days per month. They have a wide variety of breeds to choose from, and although it's not cheap (weekends are £40 per day), we can't think of a better way to spend cash.

And the best part is, should you find through your days with 'Buster', that you really can manage a dog - adoptions are sometimes made, too.

Pay as you go 'parenting'; we're hoping this is a trend that is going to catch on.
