Catch Est'Elle, Coldcut and Electric Soft Parade at Diesel U Music Awards held at Fabric. 9pm-2am. 77a Charterhouse St, EC1. £10-12. Book here.

Ask her what exactly Communication Design is, and she tells you quite matter of factly that, "you can do whatever you want. Communication Design is everything." But more pointedly in her case, her work is best, but probably not originally, described as cute and oriental.

Indeed, this description adequately summarises the lady in question herself, who has a mischievous giggle most commonly seen in a Doyle Carte production of 'The Mikado'. It is therefore no surprise to understand the importance of humour in her short animated films.

Combining generic graphic techniques such as ombre and minimal silhouette and nods to traditional Japanese landscapes in films such as "Poo can grow into butterflies that grow" and the instruction series of how "To be human", giggles are shared through toilet humour and slapstick matchstick figures. Think Murakami without the apocalyptic slant, or 'me company' without the computer generated frills.
