Farhi Knows Food
Trademark Nicole Farhi cream...

Smoke rises, this much I know.

This could be the reason why the clothes in Marni smell like the burgers from below, while the goods at Nicole Farhi smell new, like all store-bought goods should.

It's just simple physics.

A lighter fare than usual at Shakespeare's Globe as the Comedy Store Players make their annual outing to the Globe. 8pm. 21 New Globe Walk, SE1. £5-30. 020 7401 9919.
Be awed at the Peacock by the fireworks, martial arts and Chinese theatre from the warrior monks of the Shaolin Temple. 7:30pm. Portugal St, WC2. £12.50-32. 020 7863 8000.

The fact that your stomach isn't turning from the merchandise is only one of the reasons why 202, the restaurant above the Farhi store, warrants a visit.

Getting a table is something of an affair, especially if you don't have a baby, a pastel pair of Tod's or a blow-out, although investing in one of the above may be worth it to get a coveted table for Sunday brunch.

If you like salads - and I don't mean soppy Caesars - you're in luck, as there isn't a wilted leaf or a spot of salad cream in sight. Salads aside, the menu is simple, but the presentation and culinary skill is anything but. This is California Zest at its best.

If you're not up for a Sunday bite, check out the Farhi store below to dress your home and yourself. Be wary though, the dining may be cheap but dressing like the diners in Farhi world is certainly not.

202, 202 Westbourne Grove, W11
