Get Warped at Fondation Vasarely

Plenty of people may be contemplating a trip across the Channel, but very few will be headed for this summer's most outstanding live music and multimedia art event.

Warp records is taking over the famous Fondation Vasarely (set up in 1976 by seminal optical artist, Victor Vasarely) to stage an incredible weekend in one of the South of France's most inspirational artistic spaces.

Forget the city chic of Sonar and grime of Glastonbury, last year's inaugural Vasarely event was a mind-altering extravaganza. This year, some of the world's best labels join forces with Warp, plus local acts, for three unforgettable nights of live music, cinema and art installations.

Ghostly International's Dabrye will add a dash of experimental hip hop to a line up which features the cream of the electronica scene with glitch hop guru Prefuse 73, acid master Luke Vibert and the electro-Elvis, Jamie Lidell, all showing newbie Jimmy Edgar the ropes.

Warp maybe the brains behind this event, but the initiative comes from the new Territoires Electroniques, a project dedicated to developing live events and year-round artist residencies in unique venues across the South of France.

So, leave the Wellington boots and luke-warm beer at home and get set for the ultimate in cultural clubbing!
