Maharishi's warehouse sale is on these days. 10am-8pm Gallery 6, The Old Truman Brewery, 15 Hanbury St, E1.

And nearby, up to 80% off at The Duffer of St George's sample sale. 10am-7pm. 140 Shoreditch High St, E1.

Whether it's a story about the tragic fate of Oedipus portrayed with a cast of vegetables, or the latest offering from Stefan Nadelman who follows a man obsessed with speed in a city designed to slow him down, this year's collection of shorts is as weird and wonderful as ever.

Highlights include the much-awaited UK premiere of The Corporation (a critical look at the influence of corporations - very timely), a Jonathan Glazier retrospective, live music performances and various parties. Also worth checking out are the free classes on digital editing, seminars on commissioned films (this season by Diesel, Getty Images, Nike and Dr.
Martins) and interactive workshops on the latest in filmmaking technology.
