Zero-waste restaurants and all-under-one-roof venues are big news for 2016 – and that’s exactly what’s on our hitlist this weekend. Plus, we’re brunching on burgers and fine wine before throwing shapes at a warehouse party on Saturday, with a trip to selfiecity on Sunday. Enjoy.

EAT:DRINK:
Tiny Leaf100 Wardour St

Start the weekend in Notting Hill at Tiny Leaf. Spanning four floors, there’s a chic fine dining room (veg/zero-waste), 80s paint splashed DJ den, cosy top floor sultry lounge and an events space. Plus, it has a 2am Friday license, meaning Notting Hill is (finally!) staying up. Hooooooooray! Split across two levels, 100 Wardour Lounge on the ground floor is an all-day restaurant and bar but it’s downstairs where you’ll find the more interesting 100 Wardour Club. The bar, restaurant and music venue, open from 5pm until 3am, will be serving food until 2am, from seafood platters to black truffle linguine and suckling pig. Love Brunch is taking over on Saturday with 2 Many DJs, so get tickets and check it out.

The Blues Kitchen vs. Pizza Pilgrims:

Introducing ... The Pilgrim - February's Burger of the Month

Sponsored Listing

They were the trailblazers of Prosecco on tap, gave us pizza soup, and now, Pizza Pilgrims are introducing their first burger/pizza hybrid – The Pilgrim. To be featured as the Burger of The Month at The Blues Kitchen, expect a dry-aged Angus & Shorthorn steak patty, set between a parmesan bun made with parmigiano reggiano; laden with smoked buffalo mozzarella, Pizza Pilgrim’s signature melted nduja, and San Marzano tomato ketchup; and topped with truffle mac’n’cheese arancini. And breathe. Oh, and returning the favour, March will see The Blues Kitchen create a special ‘guest pizza’.

The Pilgrim Burger at The Blues Kitchen (Shoreditch, Brixton and Camden). Available throughout February

EAT:PARTY:
Lucky Chip Burgers and WineRumors

Save for Ridley Road Market Bar, Ridley Road has remained untouched during the years of Dalstonification… until now. Lucky Chip Burgers and Wine have moved in with dirty burgers and over 100 bins of fine wine. By all means come here for dinner with a post-party at Ridley Road Market Bar, but we say, head in for a weekend brunch and take in the hustle and bustle of the market. Final release tickets have gone on sale for Guy Gerber’s first London show since 2014. Alongside Guy Gerber: Lee Burridge (Burning Man alum), D’Julz (Panorama Bar and DC10 resident), Bill Patrick (DC10, Fabric, and Rex in Paris) and Bedouin (Day Zero, Burning Man) will be on decks for what may just be the party of the year. Prepare for a 6am finish.

SEE:EAT:
Big Bang DataHill & Szrok Public House

Finish up the weekend with some selfie expression. Forcing us to examine our digital lives (and footprint), the exhibition examines the “Big Bang” of data, which happened in 2002, with the explosion of smart devices and the online world – and how it changed our lives. Merging art and science, expect complex sets of codes, scientific analysis and data transformed into installations, soundtracks and… a selfiecity. Hill & Szrok Public House, from the people behind Broadway Market’s butcher and cook shop, have spread their wings to Old Street. The new dining room and pub will have all the meaty offerings expected (ribeye, sirloin, chateaubriand, pork chops, lamb…). And similar to their Broadway Market shop, expect the similar zero-waste, nose-to-tail concept and a menu which changes throughout the day as they work their way through the cuts.
