Miami BordelWine & Rind Residency

After last year’s transformation into Tiki Bordel, Shoreditch basement bar Joyeux Bordel has had a new makeover for 2017, transforming into Miami Bordel for the summer months. Go all out ‘80s with giant margs, frozen pina coladas and some serious East Coast vibes. After hosting Wine & Rind pop-ups at Sager + Wilde and Cannon and Cannon, cheesemonger Holly Chaves is hosting a new residency at St. Pancras International’s Sourced Market, focusing on Breville cheese toasties made with her signature blend. Pick one up before you hop on the Eurostar.

Sunfall FestivalG.F Smith: Paper City

Ben UFO, Palms Trax, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Roy Ayers… we’ve been looking forward to Sunfall since the lineup was announced. But we’re almost equally excited for the after-parties happening all over South, with Brixton Electric hosting Dimensions, Horse Meat Disco at Phonox and Outlook taking over Brixton Jamm. There are still a few day and night tickets left, so book now! After finding out the world’s favourite colour – and declaring it as Marrs Green – renowned paper producers G.F Smith have set up a pop-up shop celebrating it with some iconic British brands. Tokyobike, Anglepoise and Sunspel have all created bespoke Marrs Green pieces for the store, which runs alongside their pioneering Paper City exhibition, having migrated from Hull.

SHOP:WATCH:
Petersham NurseriesAtomic Blonde

#UJLoves a good all-in-one lifestyle destination, and the new Petersham Nurseries shop in Covent Garden is just that. The Grade II listed building houses homeware, furniture, gifts and plants, plus there’s a potting service which preps your greenery for you. If you’re hungry whilst shopping, pick up fresh pasta, cheese or antipasti from the deli – plus there’s a full restaurant coming later this year. A chic film in a chic setting for a Sunday. The Curzon inside the Mondrian London feels like a suitable setting to see Atomic Blonde, the new spy thriller based on Antony Johnston and Sam Hart’s graphic novel The Coldest City. Charlize Theron is Lorraine Broughton – MI6 elite spy, and James McAvoy is her foreign counterpart in a gritty, 1980’s Berlin.
