I'll never forget the most disappointing lunch invitation I ever had at a friend's house.

After what seemed like an endless drive across London to deepest darkest Surbiton, we were greeted with a plastic tub of supermarket hummus and some celery and carrot sticks...

I don't mean to seem ungrateful, but I think that when you invite people to lunch or dinner, you owe it to the guests who make the trek to your home to treat them to something a little special. Something homemade.

Here are three recipes that are very simple to make, absolutely delicious and are sure to have your guests feeling the love.
