Easter weekend can be a bit of a chore.

Like Christmas-lite, everyone's generally locked up with family for the long weekend, scoffing chocolate. Not bad, but what if you actually want to do something? Here are three reasons to get off the sofa.

For silly fun, try the Lost & Found Egg Roll on Primrose Hill, where teams (chicken and egg) will come dressed accordingly and compete in old skool games, to decide who came first: Le chicken or la egg. Ridiculously fabulous.
Lost & Found Egg Roll, 2pm Friday April 6. Primrose Hill, NW1. Free.

For posh non-themed times, head just outside of London for some point-to-point racing (horse-racing without the yah-yah crowd). You'll need your wellies and some cash; the event is as much about betting as it is about the beer tent.
Kimble Point-to-Point, Little Kimble, Buckinghamshire, HP17, 1 hour from
London. Follow signs to Aylesbury from the M25 or M40
Saturday April 7. First race 1.30pm. Cars £20, Pedestrians £3.

And for some good old fashioned fun, there's the Easter egg hunt. If you don't want to plan your own, there are hunts all over London. Both Kew Gardens and Battersea Park boast massive Easter egg hunts in their extensive grounds (although we find the child with BIG Kew bunny ad a little creepy). Braver souls should try London Zoo, and for those wanting a majestic setting, Kenwood House is also hosting a hunt.
Kew Gardens, TW9. Sunday 10am2pm. £2.
Battersea Park Zoo, SW11. Friday-Monday 10am4pm. £4.50-5.95+£1.50 hunting fee.

Happy Easter!

This is an office building designed by Eric Parry Architects for Scottish Widows.

At first sight it might look like any old office building. However, what lends it a particular interest is the way the windows are laid out in an asymmetrical way, with no one window sitting directly above any other. You

look at the façade and try to work out a logic. It's there, but isn't immediately obvious. So the building holds your eye, a little bit in the way that the Doge's Palace does in Venice. Eric Parry was courageous enough to realise that the regular, utterly symmetrical office block is both boring and banal - and that he could improve on it by breaking up the repetitive pattern.
