It’s a funny old time we’re in right now. Prices across the board have gone up, and yet we’re seeing 80s-style extravagances sweeping the capital. We say, pass the caviar tray and here’s hoping it all levels out. Have great weeks all.

The collabs, they just keep coming… This week we’re looking at the Umbro x YMC rugby-inspired wares, the retro vibes at Adidas x Gucci, the florals and bandana collection by The North Face x Supreme, the new-style gators on the Lacoste x A.P.C pieces, the subtle stars on the Stüssy x Converse kicks, and the minimal 90s aesthetic of the soon-to-launch (28 June on Jacquemus) Nike x Jacquemus collab.

Get in the queue
Anyone noticed the queues to get into the new ‘corner shop’ on Broadwick and Poland Street? Part Parisian (and Greek they say) café, part menswear boutique, with haute sports bar feels, this is the NYC boutique’s first foray outside of the States. The clothes are preppy, collegiate / sport inspired, and the vibe overall (well-dressed door greeters) is Soho members’ club. Definitely feels new.

Sunset Tower Hotel collection
Speaking of collabs, we like this one. Tis the year of (good) hotel merch.

Head to Harvey Nichols’ Fifth Floor to check out their Monkey 47 Jungle Terrace for gin cocktails with interesting flavours (their Blood Orange Sgroppino includes blood orange sorbet), and hard-to-find editions (their Monkey 47 Experimentum is limited-edition and a world exclusive). The Fifth Floor Bar will also have live music and DJ sets on select Friday and Saturday nights this summer with an extensive menu of fine wines, Champagnes and cocktails to choose from. In the OXO Tower Restaurant, Bar & Brasserie, visit the Chandon Garden Terrace for a glass of the Chandon Garden Spritz in the sunshine.
3 x One Night Onlys
Don't miss these
On Thursday 16 June, Top Cuvée is taking over Frank’s Bar at Maison François. Tickets get you eight wines, ‘snacks’, and tunes by Top Cuvée DJs. On Sunday 19 June, St. JOHN executive chef Jonathan Woolway will be working alongside Jamie at P. Franco, with an á la carte menu inside and St. JOHN-style picnic across the road, both served from 2-8pm (no reservations). And lastly, one of our favourite restaurants globally, The Four Horsemen, will be at Rondo La Cave in The Hoxton on July 5th (bookings open June 22 and can be made here).
Mad House
Previews From Tomorrow
A family reunion. Time to pay your last disrespects
Sponsored listing
Stranger Things star David Harbour and Bill Pullman (The Sinner, All My Sons, Independence Day) return to the West End in the world premiere of the bitingly funny new play, MAD HOUSE. In rural Pennsylvania, Michael (David Harbour) has returned to his childhood home to look after his dying father, Daniel (Bill Pullman). His siblings Nedward and Pam soon arrive, determined to work out how much money Dad actually has left and how they’re getting their hands on it. Previews start from tomorrow, 15 June, and the play runs until 4 Sept.

Hiyakawa Miami
Michelin Guide
Florida selection
So, Miami is on fire, as you likely know: real estate, events, restaurants – all blowing up. In the inaugural Florida selection in the Michelin Guide, 15 Florida restaurants (Miami, Tampa and Orlando) get Michelin stars, and 29 get Bib Gourmands. More reason to go visit.
Kate Somerville
Two new on the Ground Floor
Sponsored listing
We’ve long been fans of the wellbeing offering at Harvey Nichols (we love the Light Salon), and now they have two new services to note. A UK exclusive, book in for a facial with Kate Somerville (we have our eyes on the serious but fun-sounding Melrose Place facial), or for something different, try cosmetic acupuncture at Cosmetic Acupuncture Wisdom.

Around Town
Forks out
We’re going to keep this short. This week, Lina Stores opens reservations lines for their new Marylebone location, Taste of London is on in Regent’s Park, and the Mercato Alighieri (from the jewellery brand Alighieri) is at the Television Centre until 19 June. Also, Robin Gill has a new terrace at the Bermondsey Larder and is doing a communal feast at Birch’s festival, Birch Arising, this weekend.
Relax and reset
Re-Place is a new studio that focuses on body recovery. Here you’ll find Body Rollers, which perform an elevated lymphatic drainage massage and myofascial release, and a meditation dome. Sounds worth a try.
Speaking of collabs...
Fashion and food, we like it. MOMO x GANNI x Lychee Edition by momokombucha available now on the DELLI app.
Finca Cadaquès
For exclusive hire
We love Cadaquès – the seaside artist town approx 1.5 hours from Barcelona that was home to Picasso and Dalí, Duchamp and Man Ray. Close to the nature reserve Cap de Creus (and one of our favourite restaurants), this 10-bed has an infinity pool, piano, wine cellar, and cosy fireplaces, should you rent it in winter.
