Eating Green

Last year I read somewhere that eating out is environmentally friendlier than cooking yourself. I felt vindicated: No longer a lazy cow for refusing to go anywhere near the stove. No, I was just being a responsible citizen of Mother Nature.

But environmental studies are as fickle as ladies fashion: what was good last year is bad this year. And, despite googling to the best of my abilities to prove the opposite, one thing seems terribly clear: This season, eating out is thoroughly bad for the environment.

So, having touted my green credentials loud and proud, there's obviously only one remedy: ordering in.

You might expect me to feel guilty about this little eco-stunt - at least if you don't know me - but thanks to a little steel container and my favourite Thai, I shall resort to no such undignified sentiments.

It turns out that Wushu has just launched its Wok Express delivery service. Using CO2-free electrical scooters for delivery and reusable steel tiffins (you pay a deposit, then swap it at your next delivery), it's greener than any curry you'd cook up yourself. This and next season.

Very, but very musicological They say that it'll be a festival of ideas. Well, for the second time. And with the music as an experiment. No-No-Logic.
