Lately
it's been all about Single Ladies. No, not the
Friday night crowd at Luz de Gas but whether Bouncy
Knowles stole Bob Fosse's Mexican
Breakfast choreography for her
video, and whether it was the YouTube
wanna-be or Justin
who did the better imitation.
|
 |
The
real scene stealer, however, was the titanium glove
that was featured in the video and in live performances.
Made by jeweller Lorraine Schwartz, it fuelled a (Sasha)
fierce discussion about what jewellery should look like.
While most would opt for B's 18 carat diamond
wedding ring, there's ample opportunity to check
out what else sparkles at this Saturday's Joyas
à la Carte: Two floors in Hotel 1898's
colonial settings, one for jewellery art gallery/shop
Klimt02, another for a slew of renowned local and international
bling makers.
|
 |
Our
favourite creations are the edible ones from patissier
Christian Escribà like his Candy Glam Rings.
Just go easy on this part of the menu or you'll
soon be emulating Ms Knowles in the booty department.
Time to step away from the buffet, lady.
Joyas
à la Carte
Hotel 1898, Ramblas 109.
10-22h Saturday November 29. Free entry.
