Hip Hop Horray
Wild

Wild Style, the film that took hip-hop to the world is 25 years old, so finally it looks like we've got ourselves an 80s revival that doesn't include the Rubik's Cube or ra-ra skirts.

Instead there's a coffee table book full of photos guaranteed to make you want to dig out your Sugarhill Gang records, a boxset, and the requisite remastered DVD.

It's not all about Wild Style though. Puma are mourning the death of Yo! MTV Raps with special limited edition shoes and tees, while Soul Jazz are taking the story a bit further with another nostalgia-packed tome: New York Noise: Art and Music from the New York Underground 1978-88.

And if you want to go the whole hog then look out for the Breakin' Bread's Cold Crush/Wild Style Tour currently roaming the country and back in London at the Social on October 5. You might have to start practicing your Windmill now though.

Wild Style Soundtrack and Wild Style the Sampler book available from amazon.co.uk
Breakin Bread Cold Crush/Wild Style on tour. Next London date, October 5 at The Social, W1.
