Annie Leibovitz: Life Through a Lens
There are few photographers who manage to combine the eagerly sought and rarely combined phenomena of commercial success and artistic iconicity, of public fame and simultaneous credibility. Whether a pregnant Demi Moore, a reclining Brad Pitt, or a naked John Lennon; Olympic athletes or world leaders; a familial portrait or Disney campaign: Annie Leibovitz is a champion even among such rare photographic masters. This new documentary, released by the ICA and directed by her sister Barbara, offers a probing insight into the woman who was Susan Sontag's partner, and remains one of the most consistently wondrous contemporary American artists.

Being Harold Pinter
For anyone who has regularly sat through the discomfort of his theatrical corpus, the notion of Being Harold Pinter might seem like an even more torturous twist on Charlie Kaufman's Being John Malcovic. For the Belarus Free Theatre, notoriously banned in their homeland and renowned for their covert politico-theatrical outpourings, the voice of Pinter offers a platform. Combining theatrical excerpts with those from his legendary speech to the Nobel Prize Committee and transcripts from Belarusian political prisoners, this stirring offering in Russian with English subtitles is an eye-opener to say the least.

Pina Bausch: Café Muller/The Rite of Spring
The massively influential German expressionist choreographer, Pina Bausch, and her Tanztheater Wuppertal company are resurrecting two exceptional, early works for Sadler's Wells. The first piece, Café Muller, continues to star Bausch, now in her late sixties, in an intensely personal offering, wrought with anxiety and unspoken frustration. The second, The Rite of Spring, is an aptly renowned adaptation of Stravinsky's Le Sacre du Printemps, drenched in ritual, rawness and elemental force. Combined, the double-bill offers a rare and uniquely impressive insight into the origins of this dynamic choreographer and the style of dance that she created.
