There are times in every girl's life when she thinks a boyfriend is worth putting up with just to get the DIY stuff done around the flat.

Sisters CocoRosie promote their much talked about La Maison de Mon Rêve debut tonight at the Spitz. 7:30pm. 109 Commercial St, E1. £8. 08700 600 100 or online.

Think again. Former city journalist Simon Morgan saw a gap in the market after his girlfriend waited three months for her wardrobe to be fitted. He set up a company, Him'll Fix It, which specialises in the small jobs that everyone loves to hate.

Him'll Fix It will do everything from hanging pictures to tile repairs to the impossible swapping over of appliances, as well as more challenging electrical and plumbing work, all at a fraction of the costs of old-fashioned handymen.

What's better, the hunks from Him'll Fix it will arrive on motorbikes - wielding manly toolkits - ensuring that your neighbours will be all-a-twitter, mistaking the repair man for your new bit of rough.
