No one in fashion ever watches "ANTM". Models are the lowest rung in fashion - just bodies. Coat hangers, really.

Which is why we're so pleased to discover something that actually addresses the high-brow nature of fashion.

t5m.com is the first socially-conscious Internet channel asserting a mission to inspire and entertain (was that a mouthful or what). It's not strictly fashion. Alongside bits on Coco Chanel and Alice Temperly are James Blunt and Richard Dawkins talking up their respective toils.

The cultural context combined with high brow editorial pedigree (former Vogue features editor Jo Craven and a certain ex-Hollywood producer) and an international scope (the site's based out of LA, Mumbai and London) give fashion the intellectual chic it's been missing.

The one-stop site that is, in the words of t5m's fashion editor, Stephen Doig, "comparable to Vanity Fair. A cocktail of politics, current affairs, entertainment, theatre, art and, of course, fashion."

So much more than fashion and freebies, then.

This was a really, really good collection with a great balance of pieces, strong items shown in differing combinations and a thorough understanding of how to make commercial clothes and fashion without becoming dull or safe.

Inappropriate crush of the season:
Betty Jackson's son - is he of age yet? The kid is a serious fox and so polite. He, and his gorgeous sister, sat on the ground during their mother's show, instead of taking up valuable chair space. When it was over, the Jackson kids jumped up and whooped in applause. Aw, bless. And, um, phwoar.

NEW NOKIA 7900 CRYSTAL PRISM - Fashion Technology

Nokia seems to be on the money lately with their fash/handset collaborations, and this newbie, by creative designer Frédérique Daubal is a welcome addition.

Not only does it look good - the exterior, wallpapers and accessories have been designed by Daubai, who has worked with biggies such as Paul Smith and Colette - but the handset also has a camera, and six band capabilities, which is very handy indeed.
