29.07 2025 So! We come to you this week with some UJ news. We’ve started a travel podcast/video show – Dialled-In Travel by UJ! It’s bringing to life what we’ve been doing for years: interviewing insiders at relevant, timely destinations about their favourite spots, which are then pinned on a digital map after each episode. We’ll be releasing three destinations for this summer, and the first, of course, is Ibiza. More on it below, but we really hope you like it! Notable ones include Burberry at The Standard; Pharrell’s Humanrace at Jondal (who are offering cold plunges until this Thursday); Nike x Jacquemus dinner (wow), following their collab; Nike pop up; Missoni at OKU; Dolce&Gabbana at Clap House; and this isn’t even touching on the brand trips that have been happening all summer… PERFECT x ME Ibiza, ‘The Perfect Holiday’ Earlier this month, we had the privilege of bringing together two great partners, PERFECT and ME Ibiza, for three UJ-curated days on the White Isle. FUN WAS HAD! Highlights included staying at the now all-suite ME Ibiza, sunglasses from Cutler and Gross (thank you!), taking people to DC10 (for their first time), dinner at El Silencio’s new waterfront izakaya, Urusai, bespoke napkins/tablecloth by Richard Quinn Studio, and a boat day! Maybe it’s because we followed Chef Paul Delrez’s recent trip and were reminded of how great the restaurant scene is there; both new and old. As for hotels, our friends at OD Neighbourhood Hotels have recently acquired a new property in Barcelona, Hotel España, in the great, central neighbourhood, Ciutat Vella, which is located next to La Boqueria market on Las Ramblas. The building dates back to 1859 and OD Hotels will be making some changes to it before they fully rename it to Ocean Drive Barcelona, but get in now to make the most of the August parties in neighbourhoods across the city. OD Neighbourhood Hotels | Hotel España Barcelona El Silencio x EDITION This one looks interesting. EDITION is popping up at El Silencio’s pool deck from 15-31 August, bringing their signature EDITION vibes, F&B, and service to Cala Molí. EDITION has been rumored to be looking for a property on the island for years – maybe this is them dipping their toe in as a phase 1? We shall see! MORE INFO Ibiza Episodes For our three Ibiza episodes, we spoke to Maya Boyd, author of Ibiza Bohemia and Balearic contributor to Condé Nast Traveller (and a host for other leading publications); Javier Anadon, the owner of Café Mambo, Casa Maca, La Torre, Pomelo Playa, and many other venues on the island; and Jade Jagger, artist, jewellery designer, party thrower, and recently, DJ (at Maceos at Glastonbury, no less), about their ties to the island and their favourite places to go, as well as some fun Ibiza-centric rapidfire Qs. Michael Bibi has said no phones on the dancefloor at Solid Grooves, and the photos coming in look like yesteryear: hands in the air dancing, not holding phones pointed at the DJ booth. Damain Lazarus did this too, last year at Hï, and Ibiza’s newest club, Tomodachi, has a no phones policy, and looks great. Soho Farmhouse Ibiza Soho Farmhouse Ibiza is open, and it already looks like it’s becoming the hub for island names and those in town. To access the House, you need to be an Every House member, and have a table, pool, room or health club booking. They also have a new boutique, ODEUM, launched by our friend Artem, which has 40 brands and pieces that have been chosen for the island. Also in Mallorca, opening this month is Son Xotano, a new hotel by Annua Signature Hotels; we’ll be there for the experiences that they offer/organise on request, like hiking and boating. Dialled-In Collabs With Dialled-In Travel, we’re just getting started. And we’re looking to collaborate! This Saturday, Ottolenghi is at Atzaró again, serving a five-course sharing menu with ingredients from Atzaró’s vegetable garden and locally sourced produce. This is a great event, filled with locals and those who fly in to attend. It’s their third consecutive year; start with a drink under the fairy lights in Atzaró’s beautiful garden, and watch the night unfold. Tickets include Ottolenghi’s latest cookbook, ‘Comfort’, too. MORE INFO Pou des Lleó As we’re seeing so much bougie coming through for Ibiza, we thought we’d bring it back to the more rustic – and you know we love a chiringuito. The chiringuito at Pou des Lleó is a very local spot: perch at the counter and while the day away. Rebecca Tay, Vogue And to end our July issue, a huge congrats to our long-time editor at large, Rebecca Tay (if we’ve published it, she’s approved it first! We’re so grateful for everything she does for us), who got married earlier this summer in Ibiza – and what a special ‘non-wedding’ (as they coined it) it was. Vogue thought so too, as they recently published photos of the magical occasion. Congrats Rebecca and Benny!
