Carefree days might feel like a long time ago, but over on the White Isle, they’re only just wrapping. We hope that whatever you did this season, you had a good one. This is us finally signing off on our extended summer. Thanks, as always, for reading UJ Ibiza. Until next year…..

 | | | | | Mini Open Tennis | | Ibiza has always been big on the outdoors and more hippie-style wellbeing, but now it’s getting involved in more traditional sporting areas, too. First, there was a padel tournament earlier this year, and just last week, at The Bubble Tennis Club, the Mini Open Tennis event had its launch year with tennis matches and importantly, FUN! There were GREY GOOSE® cocktails including Le Grand Spritz, which loosely resembled their extremely popular GREY GOOSE Honey Deuce (which reportedly hit $17 million in sales at this US Open this year), but made with, fittingly, cava; an Estrella area; Lacoste uniforms; GREY GOOSE polos; DJs; and as it was the brainchild of Madrid’s Minishop in partnership with The Concept Hotel Group, there was kitsch/considered styling throughout. We also appreciated the attendee who dyed and shaved his head to look like a tennis ball. Thanks for the hospitality GREY GOOSE!

 | | | | | UNVRS Apartment | | If DC10 ‘backstage’ wristbands have been the golden tickets for years, it seems like the 2025 version might be access to The Apartment in UNVRS. Check your phones at the door and join a small group in this mini club-within-a-club venue. It’s almost as if the green room expanded, and it’s where everyone we know in Ibiza is hanging out. If you’re not an island regular, find someone who knows someone (as you can’t buy entrance) and get access to check it out.

 | | | | | Formentera Meharis | | If you’re in Formentera and you can drive stick (though be aware that these drive more like tractors!), then you must rent a Mehari. Bring a speaker, sunscreen, and good vibes for a good time.

 | | | | | Local Touches Add A Lot | Partner content | | As we mentioned earlier this summer, OD Neighbourhood Hotels are really bringing their locations to life in their hotels, and in Ibiza that means a selection of local products at breakfast (ensaimadas and cheeses, chorizo and honey), as well as performances by local musicians, and Ibiza publications in rooms. You have until 15 October to visit their Talamanca property to check these things out for yourself, and after that time, their original property Ocean Drive Ibiza, as well as their hotel in Madrid, Seville, and Barcelona (all OD Neighbourhood Hotels), are open year round for further exploring. Visit their individual sites for information on additional seasonal offers now, too.

 | | | | | Rogier van Twuijver | | We instantly fell in love with Rogiers’ paintings of some of Ibiza’s best spots: Sa Trinxa, Hostal Talamanca’s restaurant, DC10, Amnesia, and more. Email him for prices.

 | | | | | [a]mar | Kiosks | | So, a few years ago it was announced that all of the beach kiosks in Formentera had been sold, and we were devastated, as they were truly integral to our Formentera love. But, we can thankfully report that from what we have seen, yes, they have changed a bit under new ownership, but they are still there, serving great drinks and food in their same, incomparable settings. We only made it to two, but Kiosko 62 is now Karai, and Lucky is now [a]mar. Chiringuito Bartolo is the only chiringuito to retain its original owners, who have run it for the past 47 years; not sure how they managed that, but we’re happy for them, and hope the other old owners are all doing okay, too. Here’s a list of Formentera beach kioskos in 2025.

 | | | | | Tony Pike | Pikes Tent | | Oh Pikes. We’ve really been through the years with you. We used to stay at the hotel back in the day, when Tony (Pike) would be perched up at the bar, Idris was behind the decks, Sunny was in his bathtub/dress up room, and big name DJs would be staying to the left or right of you.
And then… well, it became a very well-known secret and less the kind of place we wanted to stay or spend too much time at. BUT. Although it’s more popular than ever (seriously, do.not.go unless you have your name on a list/have someone to call to walk you in), the pink tennis court has now been replaced by a Moroccan-inspired tent serving cocktails, which would be a great spot for a private soirée. And that house is still a special one. Tony we miss you! As an ode to Tony P: his business card above.

 | | | | | Flirting with Friendship with Seth Troxler and Bill Patrick | | Seth has a new podcast! Filmed in Ibiza with his long-time friend Bill Patrick, and set designed by our talented friend Moki to replicate Seth’s parents’ living room, they chat to industry guests like DJ Tennis and Damian Lazarus, and they also have an add-on show, Pill-O-Talk, where they respond to listener questions.

 | | | | | CLAP HOUSE Pool Club | Adults Only | | We’ve noticed quite a few adults-only places lately in Ibiza: Cala San Miguel Ibiza Resort (18+), Teranka hotel (12 +) in Formentera, CLAP HOUSE Ibiza Pool Club (18+) – and even several restaurants. If you have kids, check before you go.

 | | | | | El Náutico Ibiza | | If you’re looking for a good pre-Formentera spot for lunch or a drink, may we suggest El Nàutico. Tucked away (so much so that we didn’t even know it was there until recently, or that it was open to non-members), it’s taken over the old Nautical Club building and has a great restaurant with a large terrace facing the harbour. It feels very local and insider, and as it’s right by the ferry terminal, it couldn’t be better located for a pre-sailing bite.

 | | | | | Mar y Sal | Salinas | | We hadn’t been to Salinas in years, but someone recently suggested a visit and it was great to be back. Yes, it’s true, Sa Trinxa no longer has a DJ/Jon, but the music is still great (and loud/atmospheric), the fun club processions still happen, the water and sand are still some of the best, and the sunlounger plus white tablecloth beach dining options are good as ever (book in advance, and expect to spend £65+ per chair and £30+ per umbrella). Some things to report: NoHo is new, Beso Beach has a shop with merch, we love Mar y Sal (at the end), which you can also stay at, and don’t forget the gallery, La Nave Salinas, closeby.
