 | | | | | Nômade Temple | | | It’s open! Located next to Six Senses Ibiza, Nômade Temple has brought its bohemian vibe to the north of the island, and it’s looking good. And, thankfully, it has a healthy dose of hippy and hedonism. Details include: 182 rooms, 70s-inspired interiors, several bars and restaurants including an open-fire restaurant by the sea and an intimate omakase, and a great spa. They currently have soft launch rates for some room categories, so if you were looking for an excuse to go to Ibiza, we may have just found you one.

 | | | | | | Nocturna - Phone Free | | '26 Vibe | | | Beneath the Los Felices hotel in Cala de Bou you’ll find this new (opened last week), intimate, 380-capacity nightclub. The interiors look slick, the sound system is hi-fi, and importantly, the dance floor is phone free.

 | | | | | | Cala Escondido Chiringuito | | | This one hurts… one of our absolute favourite spots on the island, the Cala Escondido chiringuito is not opening this season. We didn’t believe it at first as there are often closing rumours, but the official statement is here. They say they’ll be back; let’s hope it’s sooner than later. SAVE REAL IBIZA.

 | | | | | | Jaïs Ibiza | | | A transfer from Paris, Jaïs, by the celebrated chef Jaïs Mimoun, has arrived in Ibiza, and is the chef’s first location outside of France. Located on KM3 (remember KM5?), the menu is contemporary French, the venue is a preserved Spanish-style finca with outdoor tables under festoon-lit trees, and the décor looks like it’s the perfect combination of Paris chic with Ibiza rhythm. We like the branded plates, too.

 | | | | | | Grupo Ramat, Barcelona | | Sponsored Listing | | | Originally opened in 1859, the recently refurbed Hotel España by the Grupo Ramat (ex-OD Group), is minutes from La Rambla and the Boqueria Market, and literally next door from the Liceu Theatre (we love). The location couldn’t be better – it also has Sky Bar, a rooftop terrace with plunge pool and live music every Thursday to Saturday; Dorita Club, for expert cocktails; bright rooms; and a restaurant, Fonda España, which is managed by Martin Berasategui (who has an incredible 12 Michelin stars to his name). The refurb has updated things, but the building’s iconic modernist heritage has been preserved and is woven throughout. And, as August in Barcelona is when the city’s streets come (even more) alive with festivals in every neighbourhood, it’s a great time to visit and BCN is an excellent stopover when travelling to Ibiza.

 | | | | | | Bless Ibiza The Site | | Now Open | | | The very first BLESS hotel opened in Ibiza in 2019, and as the brand has started expanding across Spain (with properties now in Barcelona and Madrid), it makes sense that its second property on the island would be a big deal. Taking over the near-500 room former Hard Rock Hotel in Playa d’en Bossa, all the rock concert memorabilia is gone, leaving in its place a calming, pared-back palette, chilled-out pool areas, and restaurants including the laidback La Sabina, Leña, Tatel, and Coya.

 | | | | | | Two New | | 2026 | | | On the north side of the island, Casablanca has partnered with Six Senses Ibiza to take over their Rocky Beach with a very chic colour combination and print on the lounge chairs and umbrellas. And on Formentera, Loewe Perfumes has a takeover at the much-loved Dunas de Formentera with pistachio green umbrellas, deck chairs, and immersive fragrances – which is new! We’re interested to see how that actually is.

 | | | | | | Coya Beach | | | If you’re familiar with Coya Mayfair, you’ll know the brand’s ‘Peruvian haute cuisine’, as well as its great cocktails and colourful décor. Now open at BLESS Ibiza The Site, for lunch, there’s Coya Beach, which is literally right on the beach, so you can dine at a table or at a sun lounger; start with ceviche and watermelon salad before moving on to the grilled rib-eye with chimichurri. For dinner and drinks, there’s Coya Ibiza, on the other side of the beach restaurant, and the Pisco Bar, a relaxed rooftop joint inspired by historic bars in Lima.

 | | | | | | Chiringuito Fusta | | | A new chiringuito (not the closure of one) is great news, and the beautiful beach/cove of Cala d’en Serra can definitely use this extended offering. And best of all, yes, the wood and paint look new, but the style – a shack with simple tables and chairs in the sand, with large umbrellas for cover – is definitely not.

 | | | | | | Book | | We Love Ibiza: How It All Began | | | A comic book-style tome, by historian and artist Aura Gold, this book brings Ibiza history, from its pirate beginnings to the draw of hippies, creatives and DJs, with historic and nostalgic stories until 1979. This is the first book in a four-part series featuring interviews with the people – entrepreneurs, counterculture trailblazers, musicians, and artists – who have made Ibiza what it is today.

 | | | | | | Parador de Ibiza | | | As you likely know, paradors in Spain are state-owned historic properties that have been restored into an ever-growing network of hotels. Parador de Ibiza, located in Dalt Vila, is a recent addition to the group, and is located at the top of Dalt Vila, the atmospheric old town. Rooms look nice – more design-led than we’ve seen at Paradors before – and the location is one of the absolute best, with incredible views. It’s not inexpensive (don’t let state-owned fool you), but they’re also not the worst rates around!

 | | | | | | The Site | | Get a Copy | | | Long-time UJ friend Maya Boyd is the editor-in-chief of The Magazine of The Site Ibiza, and the debut issue is packed with stories about food (Gordon Ramsay, Dani García, Dabiz Muñoz) and fashion – including brands like Rick Owens, Jil Sander and Orlebar Brown, all now open at the Gallery.

 | | | | | | Duo Formentera | | | Opened in 2024, this is a Formentera restaurant that slipped under our radar. Run by Jorge Brazález, a MasterChef Spain winner, it’s located in a classic local farmhouse by Cala Duo. We hear the vibes are really good, and the menu looks like beach lunch classics, with modern additions and touches.

 | | | | | | Yacht Partnership | | Cala San Miguel Ibiza Resort | | Located in the quaint cove of Cala San Miguel on the north of the island, the hotel of the same name is now offering day charters and sunset cruises with tailored coastal itineraries (like ‘wild Ibiza’ or ‘turquoise waters’), via a partnership with BCN-based De Antonio yachts. The yacht, a 9.9-metre boat, is sleek, stylish, and can accommodate up to nine people. Trips leave directly from the hotel’s beach restaurant, Cala San Miguel Beach House, which is a great place to start or end your trip.

 | | | | | | Ibiza Hike Station | | | Just a little reminder. Ibiza’s best hike guides, Ibiza Hike Station, have a collection of great routes on the island, and they are now in Mallorca and Sardinia, too. You can join a group (they leave at 9AM or there are also sunset ones), or go private and choose your own experience. Make sure you book in advance, though: with every big DJ on the island (and their entourage) being frequent customers, this is one busy team!
