Apparently
the sales have been so slow this year
that last season's misfits and unwanteds
will be taking up valuable shop space
for a good while longer. However, there's
at least one place where there'll be brand
new stuff this weekend. |
 |
That's
at Adidas, where fashion world darling
and king of lowbrow fabulousness, Jeremy
Scott, will unveil his new capsule collection.
The man that according to i-D is "bad
taste personified", spices up your
tracksuit and trainers white trash staples
with liberal servings of gold wings, ruffles
and sequins.
There's more, though, as collections
from streetwear guru Alyasha Owerka-Moore
and Kazuki Kuraishi of Japanese Fragment
Design will also be presented. And all
this before the three-striped Germans
launch their new SLVR line on Monday.
Adidas aren't the only ones with
designer collaborations this year, though.
Mango will treat us to goodies from Oscar
de la Renta's Adam Lippes in March;
Topshop to gems from iconic Biba's
Barbara Hulanicki and a new line from
Kate Moss in April; and H&M will start
peddling Matthew Williamson robes in the
same month.
It seems like we won't be walking
threadless after all.
