2019’s Best Art Exhibitions

Art & Culture and New openings

This event has ended.

With the inaugural Frieze Los Angeles coming up, we’ve been thinking about what exhibitions we want to see closer to home. If you’ve got art on the mind too, discover some of our upcoming highlights below and get inspired.

Serpentine Sackler Gallery
Grace Wales Bonner: A Time For New Dreams – Until 19th Feb

Catch this one while you can because it’s on for less than a month and there are only a couple of weeks left. The British fashion designer showcases some of the research behind her collections, touching on cultural points of reference across music, literature and visuals.

The Design Museum
Home Futures – Until 24th March
Stanley Kubrick: The Exhibition – 26th April – 17th Sept

How did those before us imagine we’d live now? Step into the dreamlike passages of The Design Museum’s Home Futures and find out. And continuing on the escapist theme, make sure you book ahead for their landmark Stanley Kubrick exhibition in April too (yes, it’s already available).

The Hayward Gallery
Diane Arbus: In The Beginning – 13th Feb – 6th May

Diane Arbus’ early photographs make their way from New York to Europe for the first time ever in this exhibition that explores her first seven years’ as a photographer.

The V&A
Dior: Designer of Dreams – Until 14th July

This one doesn’t need much explaining, so we’ll just say we can’t wait to see some of the house’s iconic designs on display for the first time.
