How do you make a Belgravia concept store affordable for emerging talent? Simple: set up an experimental hub dedicated to supporting the next gen of design stars. Something & Son have set out to relieve a new era of creatives from extortionate London renting rates by charging an affordable monthly fee. Part shop, workspace and café, the store has a members’ roster of ten – right now that includes menswear designer Daniel Fletcher, womenswear designers Ryan Lo, Kepler, Laundry Service and Rathel & Wolf. And what’s in the name? It’s taken from the 50 metres of clothes rail that will run along the inside walls of the unit that will be able to showcase up to 30 designers at any one time.
