Amadeus

This event has ended.

It’s epic, it’s a classic, and it’s just what a new year calls for. Peter Shaffer’s Amadeus returns to the National Theatre under the guiding hand of Michael Longhurst. Following a sell out run in 2017, Amadeus is back at the Olivier, as audiences are transported to Vienna, and the centre of the music world. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, played once again by Adam Gillen, arrives in the Austrian capital, ready to make a splash. Awestruck by his genius, court composer Antonio Salieri, played by Lucian Msamati, realises he has the power to promote or destroy the young composer.
