It’s one of the those pairings we can’t believe haven’t happened sooner. BAO Fitzrovia has teamed up with Jean Jullien to launch Fried chicken and Whisky Nights: a series of supper celebrating the BAO founders’ love for all things Taiwanese fried chicken and Asian whisky, brought to life with graphics by internationally acclaimed French illustrator Jean Jullien. The fried chicken set menu will include one large chicken breast steak, butterflied twice, marinated in soy milk and fried in BAO’s special spiced flour; chicken thigh pieces and wings, shredded cabbage and a selection of dressings, plus a first for BAO lovers – an extra large deep fried bao, piped full of BAO’s delicious cheese sauce and grilled to finish. BAO Fitzrovia’s vast selection of Asian whiskies will be celebrated through a bespoke drinks menu made up in the form of high balls, sours and drams. Two can play at that game.
